I'm sure you guys know about the accident happened in Seremban on 10th Oct 2010. It's just too scary to see so many accidents happening around us, esp. in highways. Makes me takut wanna travel far especially with the big guy. He loveeeeeessssssssss speeding and I have to say, he's a reckless driver. At least in my eyes he is! I always have to tell him to SLOW DOWN SLOW DOWN I DON"T WANT TO DIE IN AN ACCIDENT WITH MY SON!!!! Like all the time. Believe it or not, even the little guy always tells his dad to slow down too.

We had been in an accident before like a couple of years back, when we went to Sg. Petani with my mom. Dekat plaza tol! That was because the break wasn't working, but then again the big guy was speeding as usual and only started to hit the brake when the car was only inches away from the toll plaza. We were lucky that there was an SUV in front of us at that time and so we hit the bontot of the SUV instead of the palang! If not, nauzubillah, I don't even want to think of what could've happened to us if it happened the other way around.

So people, please don't speed! You don't know what could go wrong on the road, so instead of blaming other people in accidents you're involved in, take a SAFETY PRECAUTIONS and drive safely.  You can't change the way other people drives, but you can change yours! Better be safe than sorry, aite?!?

Just got this from my friend who builds highways. This is true! I have another friend who works as pavement contractor and he shared the same thought!

All you frequent users of the North-South Expressway -Be more cautious when driving on the third lane.

I am a frequent user of our North-South Expressway and I have this IMPORTANT experience to highlight and share:-

I am a building contractor based in Penang with over twenty years of experience and I have been driving my 5 series BMW (latest generation and a dammed solid road-holding car) each time I travelled to KL. Lately, the new extended 3 lanes highway had been opened up for use and since then, I have also been using it quite often.

HOWEVER, when I used it each time it is WET, I can really 'feel' that the new road surface is extremely SLIPPERY! To share with some of you, my car comes with a built-in traction control mechanism (skidding prevention mechanism) and you can feel it each time it is activated. Previously, I don't come across this kind of slippery feel except when I drive over a paddle of water at certain speed.

From my observation as a building contractor, the 'wearing course' of the new road surface could be TOO FINE OR TOO SMOOTH and TOTALLY UNSUITABLE for highway use! The wearing course (top premix layer) mix design for highways should be of minimum 20mm coarse aggregate mix that will give us the required bond between the surface and our tyres. Fine wearing course (14mm coarse aggregate size and below) is only suitable for normal road. (A proper test is needed to be carried out to determine the mix design of the wearing course).

Since the opening of the three lanes highway, I had seen cars skidding in front me or in the opposite direction and approximately 2 weeks ago, one of my friends who is also a frequent user of our NSE, came to share with me about his slippery feeling as well as the many skidded cars he had seen lately.

I am highlighting this to TV3 and The Star with the hope that a thorough investigation could be carried out immediately to find out how or what causes the bus to skid. A proper and independent test needed to be carried out urgently to determine the design mix of the wearing course.

Sinning 24 hours

I'm in the process of re-assessing my pics in FB account. It ain't easy rupanya cause apparently there's so many pics that would create more dosa for me if seen by bukan muhrim! To those wearing hijab with the initial intention of covering up your aurah, then  you really gotta watch this video to know what I mean!

Yerp! After this video, I know I have to really to screen whatever pics being upload on the net. I definitely am doing enough sins without the 24 hours sins having to add to it!

Kisah Salleh Gregor Samsa, another Muslim gone astray?

FB has not only be the platform for us to socialize with friends and family, but it has been the platform for a lot of people to fight, to spread lies and so many other bad things. I'm just glad that recently I'm seeing a lot more friends in my network sharing Islamic videos that give us reminder on our bad deeds all these while.

Anyway, I came across this issue in one of the fellow blogger's blog. I hope she doesn't mind me sharing it with you guys out there. The issue here is not only about FASTING but it's about NOT believing in Allah S.W.T. Makes us wonder how many of our teenagers nowadays yang dah gone astray from the truth? Or perhaps it's just some propaganda created by the kafirun to make us fight among Muslims? Wallahu'alam.

Whatever it is, we know for sure they will mati kena panah petir! get the most rightful punishment from God! It's only a matter of time.

Pengalaman menggembirakan dan menyeramkan in one night!

Last Friday night, we visited the big guy's colleague who had just undergone a brain surgery. At Penang Adventists Hospital. So alang-alang we were around that area, we shot off to Feringghi.

The last time we went there was when I was pregnant with Irfan. It has been 2 long years that I almost forgot how CROWDED the place is with local people and foreigners too! The stretch of stalls along the pedestrian walk goes on forever. At one point while I was walking along the street, I thought I was going to faint! It was hot. It was crowded. But it was all interesting at the same time that I didn't want to stop walking.

Unfortunately,  no pictures were taken as we were busy stopping at each and every stalls admiring the stuff they have there. Among the goods offered were fake designer bags, sunglasses, clothes, shoes, jeweleries, table runners, cushion covers, home deco and countless items tat I can't seem to recall at the moment.

However, the goodies that really caught my attention was the various colorful bangles selling at such low price! I managed to grab only 4 though, before the big guy gave me a hard stare. Oh, if you haven't know, that's cue for us ladies to stop buying; or else! Hehe. But they are like reaaaaally dirt cheap, selling from RM10 per piece to belasan ringgit. Any one can afford them, that's for sure!

Hey y'all! Mamu nak pi CHAMBERING sat naa! Daaa!

We didn't walk until the end of the street though as the little guy was tired and wanted to be dukung all the time. So after almost an hour walking around, we made a detour to the car park. Once inside, the big guy's genius brain suddenly came up with a crazy idea. He wanted to go round island, in the middle of the night. Yerp it was nearing midnight, and he wanted to take the winding road through Teluk Bahang to go home. 

Naively, as I never went round island during the night,  I agreed with him. That was the most stupid decision I ever made in my whole life! Seriously, if you ever think of going round island in the middle of the night, I advise you not to. There was this one stretch of the road near Teluk Bahang, where the road were so narrow and dark, that even when the big guy was driving 40km/h it felt like he was speeding!  One side of the road was the semak samun segala, and the other side was gaung. There were seriously no street lights at all. None. Nil. ZERO! Yilek! I was so afraid for our lives then! Mengucap banyak-banyak ja time tu. I was also afraid to look at anywhere else but my own hands, takut nampak benda-benda tak di ingini. Heeee! Scary!

At one time during the looooooong drive, I tried to look for the Quranic verses CD but it was hard to see anything in the dark. I turned down the volume of the radio as I was feeling uneasy, but the big guy responded by saying " Lahhhhh! Lagi la seram ok when you turn down the volume!". Haaa! It definitely gave me goosebumps all over the body when he said out loud what I've been thinking all the while! That night, it took forever for us to reach home. All I wanted to do once we arrived was duck under the cover and be thankful that we were back home in one piece!

So two pieces of advices for you guys out there :

1) If you ever make it to Penang, don't forget to jenguk the Feringgi Night Market for all sorts of interesting and CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP goods to bring back home.

2) BUUUUTTTT, never attempt to go round island in the middle of the night. You might not be able to survive the suspense throughout the journey!

Gila meroyan : A mom's worst nightmare!

Postpartum blues. The worst nightmare for all mothers! Don't think that meroyan is only for the MALAY! It happens to all women regardless of their skin color, races and religions.

Well. Reason for this post is that WHI is discussing about MEROYAN on TV. Well. All women are prone to have the postpartum depression aka meroyan after they give birth.  That's because they are in their weakest condition after such struggle to bring another being into this world.

I have to say, the best piece of advice given by the ustazah in this session is : SUAMI JANGAN BUAT PERANGAI. Because she said, it's during this time that other people (husband and other people around her) could be most insensitive to the condition of the wife. Men should realize how the wife bertarung nyawa to give him an heir. How much blood she lost during the process. How weak her body gets. Worst is, it is during this time the devil can play a good role in messing up with the mom's head. Not only that, syaitan can come out with all sorts of  'gangguan' during this time as the wife bukan dalam keadaan suci kan.  Remember, syaitan will try it's hardest to mess up your marriage all the time, because if it succeed, SYAITAN TU DAPAT NAIK PANGKAT OKEH! Serious tak tipu!

So it is only vital that a husband should be there for the wife and not leaving her alone to tend for the baby and herself. Pamper her during this time. Be gentle and loving to her.  Take over the chores. Don't shunt her aside because she smells of herbs and looks undesirable with kain batik days and nights. TELL HER YOU LOVE  HER. Show your love to her. MAKE HER HAPPY! It's only for 2 forsaken months. She has done more for you by carrying your legacy inside her body for nine months! Do you think she is not depressed having to go through such ordeal? How would you feel the situation is reversed and you were to be in her shoes?

Oh I also heard that in some cultures, husband is forbidden to keep wife company. What an oppressive culture! Some men even refuse to touch - even salam - with the mother in confinement, which I believe just heighten the stress level of the mommies. Dah penat berhempas pulas tahan sakit segala, now she's being punished for it pulak? SADIS TAK?!? What the hell la kan! I  never heard that Islam forbid husbands to be with the wives during the confinement period, or does it?

Whatever it is, husbands should JUST UNDERSTAND YOUR WIVES. Put other things aside, as she is the most important being that you need to take care of during this time. You are the sole person who can make it all better for her. Who could help her get through the period with happiness instead of sadness and depression. SHE IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY and so is the baby.

And the advice given to all women out there :  Don't think too much of the hateful things other people do unto you during this time. Think only of your baby and the happiness that he/she brings into the world. Concentrate on the baby and how complete your life is with their presence. You're the only person who can control your own 'weather' and mood. So choose to be happy! And observe your pantang rules strictly.

As for me, I was depressed too during my confinement. Very depressed. Hanya Allah yang tahu. But alhamdulillah, I didn't get the postpartum depression. And pray that I won't get one if we are to have another baby in the near future. Ameen!

Beaded blouses at Penang Indian Festival

I'm a big fan of bling bing dresses and blouses. Because I'm not an accessory girl, so I feel that  bling-bling outfits would cover my lack of jeweleries. 

So last weekend my biras told me that there's a 'Penang International Indian Festival ' going on in Penang Times Square. I took the opportunity to scout around for something that might suits me. There were lots of beaded blouses, punjabi suits, beaded shoes, beaded bags and Indian accessories selling here. Not only that, but you can also find table cloth (the Dubai kind that used to be famous once upon a time), and other household items like cushion cover, table runner etc.

I didn't spend too much time in here though as the place was crowded with people. Pening! However, I managed to get 2 blouses that looks almost like the kind of blouses that you would get at Jusco, save for the bling bling at the neckline. Selling at RM15 per blouse, they're really dirt cheap! I would've got myself ten of it if not because we had limited time to spend here. Also for the fact that it's not so easy to find the blouses that fits my requirement : ones that doesn't look too Indian. And the big guy requirements : no sleeveless even though worn with inner, no thin material even with inner, no this no that!! Arghhh! He had too much requirements that if I were to list them all here, it would take one whole day for you to finish reading them!

Anyway, if you live in Penang and love all those beaded Indian outfits, head off to Berjaya Times Square now! The festival is ongoing until the 13th June 2010, 12pm-10pm daily.

The Kapitan Walk - one of Penang's attactions

The reason why I love Penang so much is that each and every little streets here have it's own hidden treasures.

You can find malls everywhere in the whole Malaysia. Just name it, each cities have it's own malls. But the little streets in Penang can't be found elsewhere, trust me. I dare say that you have not experience the true ambiance of Penang if you don't eat at the mamak(s) between the small streets and you never visit the street hawkers di celah-celah lorong. Ever since my dad introduced us to the roti bakar + half-boiled egg at Hutton's Lane, I was simply hooked! And been visiting it with the bf (at that time, now hubby) at every opportunity we had. Roti canai Argyll Road is a must-try  too, though now it's not as good as before. You won't get the best Nasi Kandar in the big infamous restaurants like Kayu or Pelita, instead the hawkers' stalls are the ones you should try.

Recently, there's a new attraction that has caught our eyes. It's called the Kapitan Walk. It's located by the pedestrian walk of the Kapitan Mosque, along Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling (formerly known as Pitt Street).

Oh, I won't recommend this place for those of you who only go for designer brands. Because you won't find Prada or LV handbags here. But if you're into knick-knacks and the likes, you might be able to find something you like here. The scarf and shawls sells at a reasonable price. There are also some polo tees and jackets. The big guy was interested in the antiques stuff displayed in one of the hawkers. However, I had to stop him as  I remembered my mom's advice to never, ever buy all those things as you'll never know what other 'things' that might come along with it. Superstitious perhaps, but whatever it is, it still scares me. So sorry hubby, but a firm no!!!!

For me, the thing that really caught my attention here is the all types of nuts and other munchies. For a kaki makan like me, it was like I finally found heaven on earth! Ok tipu sangat dah tu. Taklah heaven, but it was pretty ok. Memang borong habis lah! Hehe.

If you're interested, you can come visit this place on weekends. It's open on Friday night- Sunday night, every week.

Where can you get a nice Thai cuisine in Penang?

Mengikut tips dari seorang blogger yang boleh tahan hebat di mata saya, jangan lah tiap-tiap hari kita menulis pasal benda yang sama. Nanti readers muntah hijau dok baca benda yang tuuu ja. Makanya hari ni saya nak menulis tentang benda yang hanya once in a blue moon saya tulis dalam blog ini.

Where to get a nice Thai cusine at a reasonable price in Penang?

Ok, just like in other states, there are gazillions of restaurants here offering Thai cuisines like tomyam and the likes. Similarly, not all of them are worth eating. I've ate at some restaurants where all I could say about the food is, ermmmm, well.... starvation is a much better prospect than stuffing yourself with those food.  

Luckily, Bangkok Tomyam, the place where we had our dinner last night, didn't fall into that category.

This restaurant is located at Jalan Mahkamah, the exact road where the Bayan Lepas night market is held on every Monday night. If you need a landmark yang lagi kebombom, it's located on the same road as Man Borong, the huge shop selling all sorts of stuffs including pashminas, blouses, begs, shoes and knick-knacks. Orang Bayan Lepas sure knows where Man Borong is located, right?

So let's see what we had at Bangkok Tomyam.

We were starving, but not so starving that we could eat a horse. So we ordered something moderate, enough for three. Perhaps Irfan got a hunch that we didn't order anything to his liking, except the Milo Ais, so he hatched a plan to embarass mak bapak dia. What he did was very unsangka-rable, that I felt like hiding myself behind the tiang after it was all done. 

Nak tau apa dia buat?

He stood up on the chair, turned around, saw the yummylicious chicken chop with chips on the table behind us and suddenly without any warning, pointed to the plate screaming "NAKKK TUUUU!!! NAKKK TUUUU!!!"

 Motip gambar? Not to show muka mak bulat, but to show the victim's family at the back!

Worse thing was, the sweet aunty eating the dish smiled at him and asked her daughter to pass a fries to the little "cute" boy, as they put it. Mak datuk, time ni I rasa nak masuk keta cabut balik. But since I couldn't drive, I had to wait at the table with a kelat smile for hubby to come to the rescue. I even thought of telling the nice lady, "Sumpah makcik, saya tak ajar anak saya buat macam tu" sambil piat telinga si kenit nih! Haha!

Anyway, since we were afraid he would ask for more from the aunt, we ordered a plate of fries for him. A plate like this cost a freaking RM5. Ok lah tu, complete with mayo and sauce, takkan nak juai lima kupang kot?!

And we had these.

Penangites would call this teh ais ceroi (cair). Next time, I better stick with the hot drinks, or the juice varieties. However, the boys did not have any complains with their nescafe tarik kurang manis + Milo O Ais.

 The kailan was fresh! And the ikan masin included was just the right portion, thus making it the most savored dish on our menu that night. Telur dadar was ok.

Ayam Masak Pedas was superb...

And Daging Merah was  marvelous!

For a total of RM29, I would say it's a meal worth eating. Taste wise = delicious. Portion = more than enough for two adults and one preschooler. I haven't eaten like this for a very long time. I felt so full that if any of you had tried to prick my tummy with a pin at the moment I was done eating, it would surely exploded like a giant hot air balloon. With yucky green slimes splattered all over your faces. Haha!

No more such dinner for at least a month from now, or else I would turn into humpty dumpty in no time at all!

Nuffnang Cashout - Dah bole beli kerete sejibik!

Without realizing it, I had been blogging for a little bit more than a year now using this blogging name. Along the way, I came across Nuffnang in many fellow bloggers blogs and got interested in trying it out myself. As my blog isn't a popular blog , thus the earning crawled very very slowly much to my annoyance. It seemed like I have to wait for cats to grow horns before I could get any cash out from Nuffnang. 

Thus, I had been ignoring the account for quite some time. However, just a couple of weeks back, suddenly terdetik nak check the account and so I took the trouble to log in bla bla bla, and Alhamdulillah, it's doing better than before. But then again I've had  trouble understanding about buffered earning and metered earning, googled about it and came across Mommy Lyna's explanation on it. Perghhhh! Mommy Lyna's entry was on top of the list in Google search engine tuuu! How do you that Mommy Lyna, care to share?   

Anyway, back to the buffered and metered earning, after reading about it in Mommy Lyna's laymen words, then I understood how it works. And yippedy yipes! I was only too happy to realize that I got another few bucks to earns before I could cash out my first ever earning from Nuffnang!

Tak sabar nih! Bole beli kereta mainan sebijik kat Irfan. Hahaha!

I remember when we were still studying, back in the late 90's, Digi prepaid seemed to be very popular for those owning mobile phones as it offered the most affordable choices for us. But for me, I have always been a loyal customer of Celcom, for certain reason that I myself couldn't identify. I guess I'm already in the 'comfort zone' with the service they offered and had nothing much to whine about except for the occasional heart attack I had by looking at the bill yang tu salah sendiri kak oi gayut tak ingat dunia!. Thus, the loyalty remains.

But the Digi promotions they're having nowadays do get me thinking of switching to the 'other side'. SMS murah, sapa takmau kan, lagi-lagi for SMS freak like me! Furthermore,  if any of you just like me  is thinking to get the new iPhone 3Gs, Digi seems to offer the best and cheapest package you can get compared to the rest of mobile service provider in our country.

Pernah jumpa rambut dalam nasi atau lauk??

I would like to share a knowledge I just acquired.

Have you ever found a strand of hair in your food whenever you eat out? What would you do then? Just continue eating as usual? Makan rambut sedap jugak ya? Haha! Or you just took the hair out and continue eating the food dengan lahap?

Ok, I've got news for you people. There's a possibility that the food with hair in it, is a food that's been infected with SANTAU (black magic)! Yes, I just heard in on TV. So what would happen if you've eaten half of the food? Can you reverse the effect of the santau?

The good news is, yes you can! How? Just take the strand of hair, recite any surah you want e.g Ayatul Kursi or Al-Falaq. And then cut the hair into half. With God's will, the santau would not have any effects on you. And the ustaz said never blame the owner of the food stall etc as more often than not, they are not the one doing the black magic, but other pengamal santau who just need to cast their 'stuff' somewhere.

Mr. Hubby, if you find hair in the food I cook, please don't be scared. I can assure you, I'm not casting any spell or trying to jinx you. The reason for the hair menyelit in my cooking is because you refuse to bring me to Yun Nam Hair Care for treatment! I've been telling you once too often, bring me for treatment or else you will have to 'eat' my hair everyday. Sekarang, rasakan! Hahaha!

Wanita Hodoh

Ok, this entry is very the Muslimah type of entry, just to share with you guys what I heard on TV a while ago. Well, the truth is, I'm sure I've done some of the things listed here! And I don't want to be among 'the ugly woman'!!! *nail-biting*

This note is about women, or to be exact, WIVES. These are the kind of wives that men should refrain from marrying as they'll only burden the husbands in the long run. So if we're among those who have this kind of behaviour, let's try to be a better wives than that.

Kenny Rogers Eating Day

Yesterday was Kenny Roger's eating day. It was all about celebrating something that the color red symbolizes. I don't know, I don't really care except that you get a free meal when you buy one quarter chicken set. Hehehe...

BUT, in order to be able to enjoy the discount, you gotta wear red. So as we were all geared up to eat free meals (to be exact, half-free), I made everyone wore red tops.

(Please don't ask me why the husband's head is cropped like that, hehe)

And so we went. But as feared earlier, the queue was about a thousand miles long! Wow, didn't know so many people were as excited as us to get free meals. Looking at the line that went on forever, we made a detour to another outlet to satisfy our hunger.

Now look at this boy eating like there was no tomorrow. He was actually stuffing food so fast into his mouth when he saw his father reaching out into his container to steal his portions. Haha! I know Irfan, you father could be irritating like that, stealing people's food.

Anyway Mr. Kenny, it was good of you to do this promotion, but I guess you should open some temporary booth and hire more temporary workers to cater to all your cheapskate customers next time. Daaaaaaaaa!

Water damage?

My phone's speaker is not working. Meaning that whenever anyone calls me or vice versa, I won't be able to hear a thing. I don't know if the cause of it is water damage because that phone has never been dipped in excessive amount of water for any amount of time, but water/milk from Irfan's bottle spilled on it adalah.

Since the phone was bought early this year, I could still claim the warranty. But because that sales girl detected that my phone has been 'dipped in water', she told me that the warranty is void. What I refused to don't understand is that - after googling about the warranty clauses - it is said that a dip in water won't usually damage the phone itself, but only the battery. So why is it that even though the damage is NOT A RESULT OF WATER DAMAGE, the warranty is still void? While it's clearly stated in the warranty form that it'll be void if the damage is A RESULT FROM water damage.

Eeeeeeeee, benci tau! Luckily it's not a blackberry, kalau tak mesti menangis tak berlagu! Anyway, just want to share this with you guys :

Toddler drinking TEA?!?!!?

Would you let your 1 year plus toddler drink tea? Decaffeinated ones I mean, the common type of tea used here in Malaysia?

I wouldn't! For once, just like coffee, tea has CAFFEINE. However, the main reason for me to forbid him from drinking tea is because tea stops iron absorption so to avoid low iron levels avoid giving them tea. I'm quite concern with this because I have problems with iron deficiency when I was a teen and while I was pregnant last time , resulted in me selalu sangat penat dan nak pitam. So, even though I love tea and coffee so much, I strictly avoided taking them during pregnancy as I was afraid it would harm myself and my baby. Thus after taking all that precautions during pregnancy, it would be a wasted effort if I feed my son tea and coffee at his age now, isn't it?

The problem now, how do I tell old people that drinking tea is a no no for Irfan? I even cried out of frustration thinking about this because though countless of times I had forbid them from giving him tea, sometimes I still caught them sneaking the tea for him to drink. I'm very concern about my child's health dammit!

But when I asked them what's that they're giving him, they'd say "tak,tak bagi pun. Dia tak minum." Or else they'd lie through their teeth saying it's plain water when I clearly saw them pouring tea into that cup just seconds before. For God's sake, what other ways could I do to stop them? Please lah, stop being irresponsible. Just because you drank tea as a child does not make it right for other babies/toddlers to drink them too!

‘Tolak hukum Islam murtad’

KUALA LUMPUR: “Kalau kita menolak hukum Islam, itu murtad namanya,” tegas Mufti Perak, Tan Sri Harussani Zakaria mengulas cadangan Kumpulan Tindakan Bersama untuk Persamaan Jantina (JAG) dianggotai Sisters in Islam dan beberapa pertubuhan bukan kerajaan (NGO) lain supaya hukuman sebat dalam undang-undang syariah dinilai sekali gus dimansuhkan.

JAG yang dibangun atas nama pembela hak asasi manusia sebelum itu menggesa kerajaan menilai kembali dan memansuhkan undang-undang syariah yang menerapkan hukuman sebatan berikutan menurut mereka dianggap mendera selain mencabul prinsip hak asasi manusia antarabangsa yang menganggapnya kejam, tidak berperikemanusiaan dan menjatuhkan maruah.

Mereka turut mendakwa mengikut peruntukan Seksyen 289 Kanun Acara Jenayah menyebut dengan jelas wanita dilarang daripada tindakan sebat sekali gus bercanggah dengan sebatan mengikut undang-undang Syariah yang aktif dijalankan Perlis, Pahang dan Kelantan.

Seksi Di Mata Suami

I'm watching Wanita Hari Ini on TV3 (sounds like a desperate housewife kan?). The topic today is Seksi Di Mata Suami, and the invited guests are an ustaz and this one female actress, who I can say dress rather sexily sometimes.

The thing is, the host asked her what's her perception of sexy is, and somehow she mentioned that OTHER PEOPLE -as opposed to the topic of Seksi di mata SUAMI - always said that she's sexy, she said there is something about her that is sexy but she can't pinpoint them. Like duuuhhh! Isn't it obvious, her dressing la, what else??

Anyway, what got me real ashamed is that when she talked about her husband wanting her to be sexy just like before they were married. Like when he wants her to still wear miniskirt now just like she did before they were married, or at least if she covers up her legs, then she should wear transparent top, or dedah sikit as she put it. He wants people to look at her so he can be proud that his wife is sexy, much to my dismay. Because just like the host remarked, that's weird because most of the men (at least a Muslim man) would not want to share his wife with other people. And she was saying all these in front of the ustaz, which got me real ashamed because as far as I know she is a Muslim woman, and she seemed to think that she's above the Islamic laws.

It's one thing that you do things in defiance to Allah's order, but to make it sound like it's not sinful to do it, on national TV at that. What's becoming to the muslims in our country? Buat dosa and be proud of their sins? I know I don't dress perfectly as a Muslim woman, nor do I follow every orders from God, but I'm not proud of my sins! And you should not be proud of them too, Mrs. Z**la.

The ustaz mentioned that to be sexy, just as the phrase 'sexy' implied, is to membangkitkan syahwat lelaki for SEX. So it's only right that you should be sexy in front of your hubby right. And to think that her husband wants her to provoke other men into lusting after her, ewwwwww...that's totally gross! And we wonder why there are many rape cases happening in our country nowadays. But of course some sisterhood of the Islamic movement said we should never put the blame on the exposed cleavages, when it has always been the men's fault alone. Ironic, no?

Our government should really filter what we aired on the TV now, as it will build up the image of how "Islamic" our muslim community really is. Are we really that secular now that we've imported all the secular teachings into our life and be proud of it?

Earthquake in Indonesia

I'm still trying to gain back the momentum to update this blog like I used to, before the Eid. I guess I'm just too drained out from all the visiting and running around that all I want to do nowadays is sit back and relax. There's still the raya and zoo entry pending to be written, I'm just waiting for the right mood to update.

On a different note, you guys heard about the earthquake in Sumatra, right? I didn't feel the tremor here but some relatives here in Penang reported that they felt their apartments shook at around 6pm in the evening, yesterday. I heard on the news just now that while they were still searching for the bodies, a second quake hit Indonesia. Let's pray that we will be saved from any bencana this time around.
