Dolls Vs. Robots

As a kid, I simply loved playing with dolls. ESPECIALLY the barbie dolls. So last couple of nights when we went for a quick shopping at one of the departmental stores, I suddenly get the urge to buy Barbie dolls. Look at those on the racks! They're simply divine, aren't they?

But for whom shall I buy them for???? I don't even have a daughter!!!

Even though the only son that we have can sometimes get confuse with his fashion sense, but still! He's a boy!

And being a boy, of course he will act boyish when it comes to the choice of toys he wants to play with. Oh my! He's just so into guns and robots now, I get kapla pusing every time he asks me to play with him.

Anyone care to lend me their daughter for just one day? I want to have a calm play session  hosting a pretend tea party with the dolls. Pretty please?!?!

For The Rest Of My Life

My dad is currently over the moon with Maher Zain songs after he came back from Brunei last weekend. When he played this one song for us to listen to, I fell head over heels in love with it too. It's a song for wives, such beautiful beautiful songs that it gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it! The little guy loves it too because it has mickey and minnie mouse in one slide. Haha!

Anyway.

I just realized something. Jiwang gak abah aku ghopanya! Hahaha!

The scariest nursery rhyme ever existed on planet Earth!

It has become our daily routine to sing and dance when the little guy watches Barney on the laptop. However, while I'm on a fasting marathon ni, I always tried to find reason to ngelat from dancing around to his current favorite ever nursery rhyme "Ring Around the Rosie". So I updated my status in FB, on how I dreaded the song and all. After a while my friend commented about the song which is believed to be related to the Black Plague.

So I googled about the Black Plague. OMG!! It was a horrible, horrible disaster occured in between 1347 and 1350. Back then, one in every four people in Europe died because of it. By 1352 it would wipe out a third of Europe's population, or 25 million people, and would continue to spread death off and on for the next 300 years.

That's scary ok! Imagine this : the pandemic was so fatal that even by touching the clothes of the people infected could transfer the virus to you. Families deserted their own fathers, mothers, and even children. It sounds so  much like the Doomsday to me!  I'm so very thankful we are not caught in the midst of it. Scary mary ok!

So.

Do you think that the little guy would let me get away from dancing with him, if I tell him how much horrified I am by the history of the Black Plague? Hehehe.

Main games macam-macam

We brought Irfan to watch Toy Story 3 on Saturday, as planned. Met Little Carliff with his gorgeous preggy mommy. Sronok Carliff anak dapat adik ya!

Since we arrived earlier at the cinema, we brought Irfan to play games! Since he loves playing computer games so much. Haha. I know I know! Kecik-kecik ajaq, esok besaq gila pi kedai games, mak bapak jugak yang hangin. Huhu.

Anyway. Back to the movie.

My review about the movie can be summarized in one word : AWESOME!!! The little guy watched the first 15 minutes without blinking. He even refused to talk to me while I was trying to explain the sequence to him.  However, after 15 minutes passed by, he requested for milk and terus dozed off into the lala land!. Haish! What can I say. We picked the wrong timing as it was around his nap time. However, it was still worth it, as I did enjoy the movie so very-very much! I haven't had so much fun watching cartoons in such long time, as the big guy would never agree to it if it's only the two us. Thank heaven for my little boy! Hehe. The kids around us were laughing so hard, and hearing them laughed like that, well, it managed to tickle my funny bone too! *lol*

So to all you guys out there, go watch it! Bring your kids, they would surely love it too!

Minum bola, tidoq bola, makan nasi dalca!!!

I don't know how to start this post with a canggih-manggih sentence. Because this post is gonna be very cliche for this month.

Bak kata Isabelle, every blog would have at least one post about the world-class happening. Of course, even a football-hater someone who has no passion for football like me can't run from it. Hehe.

Because the whole world are getting psyched about it. The most talk-about event during this month. As my husband put it, he gotta watch THE World Cup as the topic of conversation among the guys would revolve around it for the whole month!

Ok, so nak tak nak, wives just gotta bear with their husbands for this period of time. Spending time alone in bed is definitely wayyyyyyyyyyyy better than having them watching it in the bedroom. Oh, I'm sure you know the ruckus they'd create amidst the peaceful nights! Unless if you're the most attentive wives who would support their husband in his every single passions, then you better be thankful that they let you have peaceful nights in the bedroom. Hahaha!

Anyway, I got to enjoy the tempias from the demam bola during last weekend at my mom's. The big guy was out with his friends watching the game at mamak I still can't believe that I was the one suggesting it to him. But the house were far from being quite as the brothers were around, and the cousins came to lepak for a dose of football.

Football experience was given a touch of excitement for me with this phrase "Minum bola, tidoq bola, MAKAN NASI DALCA!!!" Weeeeeeee!!!!

This is the time when you get to enjoy eating sinful food in the middle on the night without having to feel guilty about it at all! It's a month full of celebration for the guys, so why don't we ladies just go with the flow, and enjoy it while we can!!

Tudiaaaaaaaaaaaa...pulunnnnn!!! Mata tatap kat TV! Hehe

I hope there will be more nasik dalca next week! Perhaps we can invite them over to the house, tengok World Cup kat plasma la wehhh! Baru best skiiit!!! Hehehe.

Lelaki dan perempuan yang suka gaduh!

I had a meet up with my BFF from school time. She, her daughter, mom, sister and nephew came down to Penang to settle her late father's business and so I was only too happy that I got to meet Teah again. She's currently 4 or 5 years old, and this is only the 2nd time I got to meet the sweetheart. So makcik-makcik now, just like the mother. But in a cute way of course, not like the mother. Hahaha!

We met up at Borders, and had coffee at Starbucks. Irfan and Teah hit off on the wrong foot. I guess it's the age difference. Teah wanted something to be done this way while Irfan wanted it that way so they can't stop bickering. Serious nak tergelak tengok when they fought over the abundant of books available all over the place. Cuteness!

See, they were trying to have civilized conversation but totally failed!

Not long after, my BFF called up another friend of us who brought his 2 gorgeous sons along, and Irfan had a blast being boys with them. Man, I hafta say, it's totally wiiiiiillld bringing the son jalan-jalan without the hubster around. Luckily there were helping hands from the friends, or else I would've tear the whole building down with my scream!

And the boy went even wilder each time we entered a shop. Much to my annoyance, he made a mess in FOS. When I told him the auntie (SA) will beat him up if he kept on doing that, he went to the auntie and said to her "Auntie cantiiiikkk lah!". Terus Auntie control ayu tak jadi marah hokeh! What a player anak aku nih. And good taste he has too! Haha!

Oh he went even wilder once we entered Toys R Us, and thank God Auntie Feezah decided to get him a belated birthday present. Kalau tak, sure kering poket mak dia yang dah sedia kering.

Tah apa lah nasib bus driver kena berdiri on top of the bus roof plak!

Thanks Aunty Feezah for the treat. Next time bring Teah to sleep over, then we can have more splendid time bullying each other okeh!

And Irfan, mama nak pesan one thing : "Jangan gaduh with Kak Teah k. When I was young, my friends used to say 'KECIK-KECIK GADUH, BESAR-BESAR JODOH!". Hahaha! Unless you don't mind marrying an older woman lah. Hiks.

Having scandal

This joke is rated 18s*x:

An 80 year old man went to see a doctor and asked :

Old Man : My 28 year old wife is pregnant, your opinion Doctor?
Doctor : Let me tell you a story. A hunter in a hurry grabs an umbrella instead of the gun. He moves into the jungle, sees a lion, lifts the umbrella, pulls the handle and BANG... The lion drops dead!
Old man : That's impossible, someone else must have shot the lion.
Doctor : MY POINT EXACTLY!

12.4.10

Which one is me? And which was my scandal? Haha!

Can any of you identify Drama Mama in this pic? I asked Irfan, and he did not hesitate in identifying his mother in the below picture. Serious pandai, anak sapa nih? Haha!

Oh, this is not a contest yeah, so there won't be any gift for whoever gets it right! Hehe. Just for the fun of it. Come on, guys!

Talking in his sleep

Semalam suami saya telah mengigau dengan jayanya. Dia bercakap di dalam tidur, cakap omputih youuuu!

Someone said (if I'm not mistaken it was Ahmad Deedat) that if you dream in English that makes you an English man. But my husband an English man? Seriously, have you look at him with your eyes wide open? Hahaha!

Anyway, he's the type who always talk in his sleep, but last night he did it too many times. However, what amazed me was this one longest sentences he ever uttered in his sleep-talking and it got me laughing like a pon****** in the wee of the morning. This is what he said (complete with accent, pause and what nots):

"I'm telling you guys ya, to liveeeeeee... separately... from your parents! Owww kehhh? Is that clear? I mean 2 to 3 times a week is fine but not ...."

Apakah? At first it sounded to me like he was ordering his subordinates around. But then why would he ask them to live separately from their parents? Hah! Kejam!

And then I thought it would make more sense that for some reason he was actually ordering his WIFE to live separately from her parents. But then again, he won't be addressing his wife as you guys, correct? Unless if......................... NO WAY!NO! Takkan mimpi pasang cawangan kot! Ini tidak adil!

Maka kawan-kawan, mari speculate apa yang dimimpikannya semalam. Haha!

Of Times Square and Capoeira

Our weekend is always about visiting both parents, as they only get to meet their grandson once a week. So hubby and I usually take the opportunity on weekends to have our date. You know, the-two-of-us-just-driving-around-and-do-nothing sort of date. Yeah, I know some parents won't even dream of leaving their child behind and go out on a date. But I beg to differ with that, as I believe that we deserve some time alone to appreciate each other as man and wife instead of playing the part of being parents all the time. As Irfan very rarely sleeps early at night, weekend is our only opportunity for that.

About 2 weeks ago, we left Irfan at the in-laws and as it was already quite late we decided to go somewhere not too far. The nearest mall would be the Times Square. Yes, Penang has it's own Times Square now, but so far only a few shops are operating.

Kasuuuuuuuuuuuuutttttttttttt!!!!

A few years back during the time when we were house shopping, we had a look at the Condos here. Yes, they have condo units at the upper levels of the mall. It was priced at over RM300,000 per unit and the design of each units was pretty interesting but we decided against it as the area is too congested and I prefer fresh air, thank you.

Alamak, off topics pulak.

Anyway, the mall looks quite interesting. At first glance. But the few shops that were operating were from those brands I've never heard of maybe because I'm not brand conscious kot. So let's just wait and see how amazing this mall is after it fully operates later.

Our main purpose to go there was not to shop, so kami memang langkah kanan as once arrived, we were attracted by this group of cool people wearing white attire gathered at the atrium, chanting some unknown melodies to my ears. Oh yeah, we were in for a show of the Brazilian Capoeira Festival, and one thing I could say after watching their performance, we'd definitely enroll Irfan in this unique martial art when he's old enough.

They're totally cool!

Ok, whoever watched the movie "Only the Strong' mesti tau what Capoeira is all about. It's a martial art that blends music, dance, singing, and acrobatics to create an approach to teaching self-defense.

A little history about the origins of this martial art : Originating in Africa, Capoeira was brought to Brazil by captured slaves from Angola. In this foreign land the Angolan people developed their practice into a method of defending themselves against their violent overlords. Because of their predicament, these enslaved people had to disguise their training as recreational song and dance.
Despite it's origins, somehow I think Capoeira is pretty cool! Maybe because of the catchy songs, maybe because it combines martial art with dancing, I dunno. But one thing for sure, I know Irfan will look cool doing it. Heeeeee.

A Visit to THE Toy Museum Penang

I've been wanting to update about the visit to toy Museum for quite some time but every time I remembered it, I felt too lazy to write up a karangan for you all.

Thus, this entry will be filled with pictures and just a short summary of the trip ok. Over all, the visit was fun as the kids got pretty psyched looking at those toys. They enjoyed running through aisles of toys so much that we had to run after them to catch up.

The collection is pretty impressive as he got all these little and big toys from the ancient time! Siap simpan with the box lagi. My nephew is collecting the Spiderman figurines so my sister could recognized a few of those that are no longer been produced now.

However, the arrangement of toys, the atmosphere and ambiance was so not impressive. Toilet was yucky! Flooring and the shelves weren't done properly and dusty, I would say it's just melepaskan batuk di tangga. By charging RM10 per entry for adults and RM6 for kids, the owner could really make the place more presentable if he wants to. And perhaps he could add some spaces/rooms for kids to play all sorts of games and activities, like those toy places they have in the US and other countries. Anything to make that place more interesting and fill with activities.

So if you are thinking to visit this place, I would say it'll be worth it if you have toddlers and kids who love toys but for teens and adults who are not THAT interested in these figurines and such (like me!), you can forget it.

Irfan's fave

The hot babes

Haha! Hot sangat kan!

The Superheroes

Mr. Spiderman and his girlfriend haha

And the rest of them....Ah Irfan jangan cakap bohong k. Kalau tak idung panjang macam???

Irfan ikut ja whatever abang Ariez did, perhaps he thinks Abg Ariez sangat cool and macho minat Spiderman while he's still into Thomas, Barney and Mickey haha!

Oh my googly bear!

The cute monster

So what do you think? Is it as good as other toy museum that you guys have been to?
