This ramadhan, I've been quite adventurous and wanted to try all new things that I haven't attempted to cook before. Some turned out well, others were totally hazardous to be eaten!
After slaving over the stove making them, I sure as hell got disappointed everytime the thing I cook didn't turned out the way it's supposed to be. So today after my first ever attempt at making traditional kuih-muih turned out disastrous, I thought why not I post all these bloopers in my blog, and perhaps get some suggestions from the readers on how to make it right!
So here goes, my kuih sagu in the making.
And once it's ready, it is just too runny that IF I still want to bring it for iftar at my mum's, we just gonna have to eat it with a spoon! Haha! Confirm la ramai will complain, so better forget it!
I think I might have use less amount of sagu than required, and a bit more water than supposed to. I approximately used 2 mugs of water and about 100g of sagu, so can anybody tell me the correct measurement to make it kenyal like it's supposed to be?
And before I throw it away, can it be salvaged in any way now?!?!
kuih sagu ni i buat tak pakai sukatan, i main agak2... mulanya rendam kasi kembang skit, say abt 15-20 mnts.. then bring it to boil dengan sedikit air, sambil rebus sagu tu kalau u tengok masih belum cukup kembang boleh jer tambahkan air panas sikit2.. adunan tu kene kental.. nanti bila sejukkan dalam fridge dia akan kental lagi skit.. sagu yang dah dibuat tu dah campur kelapa ke? kalau belum lagi may be u boleh rebus sagu baru, dan campurkan dengan sagu yang lembik tu. hope membantu.
