Abah, tu burung apa tu abah?

My boy never cease to amaze me. Everyday it seems that he has something to surprise me with.

Scene 1 :

I was at the kitchen, cooking dinner. My hubby was calling out to me "Baizurah, oh Baizurah!, come here and see this". And then this boy came terkedek-kedek like a penguin, with his pacifier in his mouth and Barney under his armpit. He was mumbling something which I didn't paid attention to. Then his father called me again and suddenly I noticed what was it that came out of his mouth. "AYUYAH..AYUYAH!!" (Baizuraaah!..Baizurah!). That really got me rolling on the floor, I tell you!

Scene 2 :

Ever since he could talk, every time he eats he'll ask for ayaq (water). Knowing his habit, I will usually prepare a bottle of water before I feed him. Thus, whenever he asks for water, I just show him where the water bottle is. But this afternoon when I showed him the water bottle, he said to me "ayaq abih...ayaq abih". Wahahaha.. now, I'm not too sure if that's for real. I mean it is possible for a toddler to put 2 words together to form a short sentence at the age 1 year and 4 months, right?

Anyway, when I told hubby about it, he looked at the son and said, "Irfan, takyah la dok berebut nak cakap sangat, Slow and steady okie". I'm sure he's dreading the day when he will have to endure the murai conversation with the son. I could already visualize it :

"Abah, tu burung apa tu abah?"
"Burung murai Irfan"
"Abah, tu burung apa?"
"Burung murai Irfan"
"Abah, tu burung apa tu abah?"
"Burung murai Irfan"
"Abah, tu burung apa?"
"IRFAN NI MULUT MACAM MURAI LAH!!"

*ROTFL*
