The excitement of raya!

How's your raya preparation? Ours ok lah, so and so. I still have a lot to do, and here I am in front of the pc, blogging! Haha. 

Gonna start with rendang tonight as I have to cook something else tomorrow. Mak I skang nih pandai tau, main sub ja kat kita! Well, since she has to cook other dishes lagi, maka saya pun redha saja lah!  But to those who are gonna eat my cooking, kalau tak sedap redha jugak ya! Hahaha!

As for OUR HOUSE preparation, we didn't do nothing much. I just change the small-small things like cushion covers, bed sheet, table cover. We didn't plan to buy any raya cookies at all this year, but Alhamdulillah ada rezeki for some cookies to jamu if anyone come beraya at the house. Thanks to my mom, ibu and MIL. Benda free, suka ok! :-D

Our baju raya, ok very not meriah ok! I know some of you people have tons and tons of baju raya but not the big guy and me. Ala kadar saja. I'm making them boys recycle their baju melayu which was made last year for my sister's wedding and worn during raya haji. Pity them huh? But they have just too many baju melayu in the wardrobe that it's just NOT worth it to have another one. But for the big momma, HARUS baju baru ok! Takkan nak recycle last year punya kottttt!!! Mak harus glemer! Hehehe.

Sampin for the big guy, either borrowed from my brother or sampin nikah it will be. Sampin for the little guy, the last year's one that my MIL gave is still good, just needed alteration a bit at the waist part. Haha...kesian semua recycle.

Well, despite all that, the excitement of raya is still around. Since the little guy has finally understand the excitement of raya, he seemed to be uttering those magical words  : SELAMAT HARI RAYA, every so often nowadays. I can't wait for raya just because I can't wait for the little guy to have the same kind of excitement that we, his parents had, when we were little.
