The little guy has got slang I tell you!

Last week, my cousin was laughing at the way the little guy speaks. Said my cousin, his slang sounds like a true mamak nasi kandaq indeed. Haha! I didn't realize that before, though I do realize that he has this one-kind of pelat-ness when he speaks.

Tapi kalau cakap omputih ok la pulak!

So I've been paying extra attention to his speech this week. And I managed to grasp the weirdness of his pronunciation! Perhaps out of laziness, he likes to omit  some alpahabets from the words he uttered. Like KUAH is pronounced as KOH. TAKMAU is TA'MO to him. And AMBIK is AMEK.  But when you  ask them to pronounce it the correct way, he can do it. He's just plain lazy to do it every time.  Looking at the rate he's talking; hundreds of sentences per minute, I can totally understand the laziness indeed.

But the thing is, he pronounced those words in a very sengau slang too! But my SIL once remarked that we (me and all the brothers) speaks ala-ala sengau too. So I guess it's all in the genes! Hahaha! Oh, btw.  The most funniest pronunciation so far in his dictionary is TELOQ. Which is pronounced as TUYOQ! Apakah?!? Hahaha!

To add to the list, the big guy is now worrying that the little guy has lisp-y tongue. He pronounce S as Ash. The big guy said it's all because I like to tease my youngest brother of his lisp-y tongue. Imagine being 18 y.o and still pronounce S as Ash. Hahaha! Lawak okeh! Anyway, I'm not worried about it. It's only common for toddlers to not be able to pronounce certain words properly. Like R and S. Kan kan kan? But even if it stays on til he gets older, mak tak kisah. Comei apa! Hahaha!

Now back to the accent, I think you better stick to the English language lah little guy!
