I watched this movie which title I can't remember couple of night's ago. It was a horror movie, and it has some superstitious practices spelled in it.
Watching that, I realized that some of the superstitious belief in the Malay culture might have originated from the Western belief! Like I remember my mom forbade me to let my baby to look into the mirror but not giving the real reason behind it. From that movie, it was said that if a baby look in a mirror, he/she won't live long after that. Another superstitious belief that I've read about in the Malay culture, which is similar to the western one is to put scissors under your pillow to ward of setan!
So, who says that our generations are the only ones influenced by secular thoughts? Our nenek moyang had also been secularized even wayyyyyy before us okeh!
